GitHub is the primary code-host enrichment. GPR works without it for local agent runs; connect it when you want host PRs and issue sync.

Connect

  1. Open Settings → Connections in the app.
  2. Connect GitHub and complete OAuth.
  3. Bind a repository to your workspace.

Issue → task

  1. Label the issue gpr:agent.
  2. Assign it to yourself.
  3. GPR syncs it to the board for your workspace.

Pull requests

With OAuth connected, the task pipeline can open and update GitHub PRs, then complete the task when the PR merges.

What stays local

Diff contents, worktrees, and git merge-check file lists come from the daemon. GitHub fields such as mergeability are optional enrichments on top.

Permissions mindset

Grant the OAuth app access only to repos you intend GPR to touch. Agent execution still happens on your machine under your local git credentials for fetch/push as configured on that host.
